Did you know May 5, commemorates the anniversary of Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza. Cinco de Mayo didn’t become popular in the United States until President Franklin D. Roosevelt enacted the “Good Neighbor Policy” which was intended to improve relations with Latin American countries and communities, so with that Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Message from PTA
PTA is still in need of a President and Secretary for 2023-2024; without these essential roles, Lynhaven will not have a PTA next year.
There was a date change to our final PTA General Association meeting. It will now be on Tuesday, 5/23 at 7:00 p.m. via zoom. See link below. We will go over a proposed budget for next year and vote on how PTA funds will be spent, with the hope that people will come forward into these roles.

The San Francisco Giants Fundraiser

Attendance
Excused Absences
Once a student reaches 10 days of excused absences, we require that all subsequent absences be verified by a physician, school nurse, or other school personnel. (California Education Code 46011). Verification of absences must be provided within 20 days of the absence.
Doctors Note
Doctors or dentist notes/letters can be submitted in person or via email to Andrea Navas at anavasperdomo [at] campbellusd.org
Reported Absences
Please note that attendance is not cleared immediately after notifying. As morning tardies, calls, voicemails and emails are handled in the order received it may take about 24 hours for a reported absence to be cleared, so we gratefully thank you for your patience.
When calling please clearly state your child's full name, date, relationship, reason for absence and symptoms if calling in sick.
For all doctor or dentist appointments a note is required to excuse the absence.
