Holiday Reminders

It's hard to believe that our Thanksgiving break is just one week away and our Holiday break is not far after that! With fun travel plans being made, we want to remind you that if you will be missing more than 2 days of school for travel, you will need to apply for an Independent Study contract. This must be done at least 5 school days before you plan to leave. Your child must be in good academic standing with good attendance for it to be approved and you will have excused absences upon your return. Unexcused absences will result if the work sent with your is returned unfinished or you do not return on your stated date and you will be put in the Truant system. We value family time and recognize that it is important to have this, but also must remind you that we are in school for 180 days and that leaves at least 176 non-school days for family vacations and travel. We ask that you are very considerate of your holiday planning.
