Information on the I-280/Winchester Boulevard Interchange Improvements Project.
Please read below regarding a project that CalTrans will be starting that may affect our neighbors on Winchester and Moorpark. It is the I-280/Winchester Boulevard Interchange Improvements Project. This is from CalTrans, not from Lynhaven Elementary. I wanted to make sure our families are informed about this project.
"Your comments will be taken into consideration during the preparation of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR)/Environmental Assessment (EA) for this project. You are invited to join us at a virtual scoping meeting on Thursday, September 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the project and environmental review process. For more information, please visit the project webpage at www.vta.org/280winchester. The deadline for submitting comments on the environmental scope of the EIR/EA is October 8, 2020. "
Enclosed for your information is the Notice of Preparation for the I-280/Winchester Boulevard Interchange Improvements Project located in the City of San Jose. The purpose of this Notice is to inform you that the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR)/Environmental Assessment (EA) consistent with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

A public scoping meeting will be held on Thursday, September 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. by video and teleconference. The meeting link and instructions for participating will be posted online at www.vta.org/280winchester. The purpose of this meeting is to present information on the proposed project and environmental review process. Attendance at the virtual scoping meeting is not required to submit comments.
The deadline for receiving comments on the scope of the Draft EIR/EA is October 8, 2020.
