Innovation Lab Pilot
Our Innovation Lab Pilot has expanded to 1st grade
This year our Innovation Lab Pilot has supported 3rd and 2nd grade. Today was the first day of the pilot for 1st grade. The Innovation Lab time provides students with a rotation of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) enrichment experinces with our Innovation Specialsists. While students are having these experiences, their teachers are released for extended collaboration time with their grade level team.
On day 1 for 1st grade Innovation Lab, students learned about managing emotions with Kimochis with our MTSS Aide Ms. Amelia Burgos, created faces from found materials with Ms. Megan Delaye, and brainstormed inventions with Mr. Jason Pittman.
