Dear Parents and Guardians,
The American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge program is kicking off on Friday, March 3rd! Your child will choose a heart healthy challenge to Move More or Be Kind and earn a FREE Be The Torch Wristband! We encourage every student and family to register online and learn Hands-Only CPR as a family through FINN’S MISSION.

Special School Incentives:
Register and raise $150 before our kickoff to get a shoutout at the assembly and earn the SPECIAL XL Frankie keychain!!
Students that register online will earn a wristband!
Students that raise $10 will also earn a wristband, PLUS 2 Heart Hero explorer keychains!
Students that raise $50 will earn a wristband, 4 Heart Heroes, and a Mystery Gift!!

Upon return from break there will be a new system for signing in and out. We will be using a QR code. Our goal is to always ensure the right visitors and volunteers are on campus. With everyone's precautions and support we can continue to keep Lynhaven safe.

Lynx Learning Is In Session
An effort to maximize students' instructional time and to lessen classroom interruptions, the office will no longer be calling with messages regarding forgotten items, transportation exchanges, etc.

At Home: Clearly Label your students First and Last Name, Room # or Teacher for any late snacks, lunches, water bottles, backpacks, jackets, homework, etc.

Place items in the designated table inside the office before breaks.

Children should be instructed to check the table if they are missing something from home.

To honor all students learning, we will not make phone calls during instructional time to inform students their lunch is in the front office.
Please make every effort to send your child fully prepared for their day at school.
Should your child forget their lunch, please note that school lunch is free during the 2022-2023 school year.

11:31 am – 12:10pm Grades TK-1 Lunch / Recess
11:56 am – 12:35pm Grade 2-3 Lunch / Recess
12:16 am – 12:50pm Grades 4-5 Lunch / Recess.

Volunteer Packet 2022-2023 - Live Scan Form This will be if you at any point will be with students with NO staff supervision. Ex. field trips, yard duty etc.
Volunteer Packet - No Live Scan Form For any supervised volunteering. Ex. Volunteering in class, book fair, Los Dichos etc.

Attendance
Excused Absences
Once a student reaches 10 days of excused absences, we require that all subsequent absences be verified by a physician, school nurse, or other school personnel. (California Education Code 46011). Verification of absences must be provided within 20 days of the absence.
Doctors Note
Doctors or dentist notes/letters can be submitted in person or via email to Bianca Ibarra bibarra [at] campbellusd.org
Reported Absences
Please note that attendance is not cleared immediately after notifying. As morning tardies, calls, voicemails and emails are handled in the order received it may take about 24 hours for a reported absence to be cleared, so we gratefully thank you for your patience.
When calling please clearly state your child's full name, date, relationship, reason for absence and symptoms if calling in sick.
For all doctor or dentist appointments a note is required to excuse the absence.
