Dear Lyhaven Families, 

The 2023-2024 new school year has finally come! From a new office, new multi-purpose space, and new teachers & staff.  We are all so excited to share with you our new building!

Reminder tomorrow is early school dismissal:

TK-3rd 1:10pm

4th-5th 1:15pm

Bell Schedule (also available on website)

Instruction Begins 8:05am 

TK-3rd Dismissal  2:10pm (Wednesdays 1:10pm)
4th-5th Dismissal 2:15pm (Wednesdays 1:15pm)
 

Gates

Campus gates will open at 7:55am and will close at 8:05am. Parents and guardians are able to walk students to their classrooms. 

Volunteer Information

Throughout the school year there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved. Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer. However, safety and security is a top priority. Below you will find links to fill out volunteer applications.

Please note TB test dated no more than 4 years is a requirement.

Volunteer packet no livescan form (no fingerprint clearance required) are for all volunteers which will be under supervision by a staff member at all times, for example, small groups within the classroom under teacher supervision, yard duty with other support staff overseeing them (they would not supervise the restrooms), reading in the classroom, any type or volunteering where they will be overseen by staff.

Volunteer packet with Livescan form (fingerprints required) is for volunteers who will be alone with students (overnight field trips, field trips where they will be alone with children and no staff overseeing them, support with small groups in an area which is not supervised by a staff member, etc.)

No-Cost Meals for All Students

California has become the first state to pass a universal free school meals program for all public school students. Free lunch and breakfast will be offered at all schools. All meals will comply with federal nutrition regulations.

Completing a school meals application is crucial to school funding.

• For every student who applies and qualifies for free meals, the school receives more than $1000 and additional money from state and federal grants. This includes increased funding for afterschool programs, technology, counseling services, and equipment for school kitchens.

• Families who qualify for free meals may also be eligible for free or reduced cost internet, P-EBT food card from the state of California, free or reduced cost summer camps, and more! Your application helps your child and many others. Check income eligibility below.
