Campbell Library Reopens Sat., May 9 -- Join us!

Dear Patron, The big day is nearly here. You are invited to the Grand Opening of the fully renovated Campbell Library this Saturday, May 9. A full day of fun, giveaways and activities kicks off at 10 AM with a brief welcome before the doors officially open to the public. We hope you can join us for all or part of the event. Here are the highlights:

• 9:45-9:55am: Lion dancers
• 10:00-10:15am: Welcoming remarks
• 10:15-10:30am: Doors open and Lion dancers second performance
• 11:00-11:30am: Storytime with Elephant and Piggie characters in the Community Room
• 11:00-11:20am: Library tour starts at the Overlook
• 11:30-12:00pm: Public art presentation with artist Sheri Simons, lower level near art
• 12:00-1:00 pm: Photos with Elephant and Piggie in Community Room 
• 12:00-1:00pm: Paper pinwheel craft with Silicon Valley Clean Energy in the Community Room
• 1:00-2:00pm: Bubble show outside on grass with Clowning Around with Daisy 
• 1:00-1:20pm: Library tour starts at the Overlook
• 2:00-3:15pm: Musical performance with Thee Organ Trio playing jazz, funk, soul and R&B in the Community Room 
• 4:00-4:20pm: Library tour starts at the Overlook

The new library is filled with natural light, with floor to ceiling windows that span both levels of the library. Come explore the new collection of materials for all ages and be the first to check out brand new books to enjoy. Visitors will discover the Overlook, a flexible community space for browsing, reading and gathering. Saturday will also be the first chance for children ages 0-10 and their families to enjoy the new Dreamy Downtown early learning play space. They are sure to love this creative space, which includes a TowerBot, Campbell's friendly mascot.
