Lynhaven Elementary School

Teacher and Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations are in order for some special employees on our campus!

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year: Miss Patenaude! Miss Patenaude has been in CUSD for 6 years. She began her career at Blackford Elementary teaching the adult ESL classes. Then she found her home at Lynhaven in 2nd grade where she has been for the last 5 years! Ms. Patenaude has a love for teaching that is evident in everything that she does. Her classroom is a busy place where students are challened to think critically, ask questions and still manage to have fun! We are thankful for all she does for our students and staff.

Congratualations to our Volunteer of the Year: Mrs. Kitty Costello! Mrs. Costello has been at Lynhaven for 3 years. Her daughter is in 2nd grade and when she's not volunteering in there, she's attending every PTA meeting, SSC and ELAC as a parent representative. She is currently in her second year as our PTA treasurer and she works hard along with our other PTA members, to bring events like the Walk-A-Thon, Pumpkin Walk, and Silent Auction to our school. Thank you for all you do Kitty!

Miss Patenaude and Mrs. Costello will be recognized along with our Classified employees of the year, Mrs. Magdaleno Cornejo, our secretary, and Mrs. Janet Buseman, our Educational Associate at our District Employee Recognition event on Thursday, May 19th, at 6:00 at Castlemont Elementary in the Multipurpose Room. Please feel free to join us!
