Lynhaven Construction Update

Project moving along as planned

Our campus modernization is making great progress as we approach the start of the school year. The work is going as planned, and our crews are prepared to have safe access to buildings, classrooms and parking when students and staff arrive.

Parking

The parking lot will be reconfigured, paved and will be striped. Plantings in the parking area will come later, and will have bark mulch in the interim.  

Entering Campus

Access to the school will be on the left hand side of the new building leading to the temporary office in Room 2 and the rest of the site, and on the far right hand side leading directly into the site.  Both of these access points are from Cypress Avenue.

Students and staff will also have access from the parking lot on Ancil Way (in the back).  We hope to open the gate located directly to the right of the new Multi Use building within a month of school opening.  

Continued Construction

The construction site will remain fenced from the back of the old cafeteria all the way out to the street so there will be no access to the future drop off lane. Buses will continue to stop along Cypress Avenue in front of the school, just like they did last spring.

The new energy-efficient Multi-Use building will be completed after next summer, as originally planned. We are really looking forward to construction being completed, so that our students, staff, and community can enjoy our new facility.
