Pinwheels for Peace

On Sept. 21st, International Day of Peace, our school will participate in a project called, Pinwheels for Peace.  All students, TK-5 will write their thoughts about "peace/ tolerance/kindness/living in harmony with others" on one side of their pinwheel, and on the other side, they will draw, paint, collage, etc. to visually express their feelings about peace. The students will assemble these pinwheels and on International Day of Peace, Sept. 21st, they will "plant" their pinwheels all around the school as a public statement and art exhibit/installation.

On September 21st please keep a lookout for our pinwheels – the spinning of the pinwheels in the wind will spread thoughts and feelings about peace throughout the country and the world!
