Dear TK Lynx Families,
We are so eager to see you on August 16th for your childs(ren) first day of school! It feels as if this new chapter in your child's life leads to more anticipation to our parents than it does to our new scholars and that's ok! We are here to support you in this new milestone.

Below are a few of responses to FAQ in hopes to alleviate some unknown territory-
Does my child need a uniform?

No. Feel free to have them dress to impress on that first day of school.
How many TK and K classes do we have?

For the 2023-2024 school year, we will have 2 TK and 4 K classes.
What is the average class size for grades TK and K?

The average class size is 22-24 students.

Each TK class has one Instructional Aide to support the classroom teacher.
Is there before/ after school care?

Yes, onsite childcare—called CampbellCare—is available before and after school. You can learn more here https://www.campbellusd.org/expandedlearning
What supplies does my student need?

All students are provided with all school supplies (glue sticks, pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, etc.)

Donations of kleenex, Clorox wipes, baby wipes, Lysol spray are not required, but appreciated by our classroom teachers.
What does my child need?

One extra set of clothes and undergarments including socks, accidents do happen.

Can my student buy a school lunch?

No need to buy! Hot lunch is free to every student every day. We also have a free second chance breakfast at morning recess for every student who wishes to participate.
What does a typical day look like?

A school day is 8:05am - 2:10pm

Early Release at 1:10pm Each Wednesday
What does drop-off and pick-up look like?

Morning Drop-off: TK and Kinder families should plan to find a parking spot in the neighborhood near Lynhaven and walk their child to their classroom.

Afternoon Pick-up: TK and Kinder families will be picking up their child from their classroom.
How to mentally prepare you and your child for their first day of school?

Remind your child grown ups come back!

Remind and emphasize who will be there to pick them up after school. School release will be 1:10pm on 8/16.

School aged children require 8-12 hours of sleep. The younger the child, the more sleep they need.

Do a practice run a few days ahead
