How to Become A Volunteer

Throughout the school year there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved. Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer. However, safety and security is a top priority.
Please see information and links below on how to become a volunteer!
Option 1 (Recommended)
Volunteer packet with LIVESCAN FORM (fingerprints required) is for volunteers who will be alone with students. (field trips, where they will be alone with children and no staff overseeing them, support with small groups in an area which is not supervised by a staff member, yard duty etc.)
Option 2
Volunteer packet NO LIVESCAN (no fingerprint clearance required) are for all volunteers which will be under supervision by a staff member at all times, for example, small groups within the classroom under teacher supervision, reading in the classroom, any type or volunteering where they will be overseen by staff.

Child Nutrition

California has become the first state to pass universal free school meals program for all public school students! Free lunch and breakfast will be offered at all schools. All meals will comply with federal nutrition regulations.
However...
Completing a school meals application is crucial to school funding.
  • For every student who applies and qualifies as a low-income household, the school receives more than $1000 and additional money from state and federal grants. This includes increased funding for after school programs, technology, counseling services, and equipment for school kitchens.
  • Families who qualify as low-income households may also be eligible for free or reduced cost internet, P-EBT food card from the state of California, free or reduced cost summer camps, and more! Your application helps your child and many others.
When applying be sure to select Lynhaven as your school in the drop down. Although online applications are preferred, the front office will have paper applications available.
If you have any questions, please contact the Child Nutrition Services Department at (408) 341-7210 or e-mail us at food [at] campbellusd.org.

Exciting news! We’ve again partnered with ParentPowered to offer an evidence-based parenting curriculum to families at no cost. Families who are new to Lynhaven for the 2024-2025 school year will be set up soon with access to Parent Powered.

Families receive text messages with fun facts and easy tips to help their children learn and grow. Messages are shared 52 weeks a year, so learning continues even when school is on summer break. We've heard positive feedback from families who received Parent Powered texts last spring and during the summer.

Check out the overview flyers below:

Staying focused in class is tough on an empty stomach. That's why ensuring your child is well-nourished is a top priority at Lynhaven School. Thanks to the Universal Free Meals program, all students receive meals at no cost, helping them stay energized and ready to learn throughout the day.

To help families plan ahead, here is how it works at Lynhaven School.

Monthly Menus

Parents can easily access the school’s monthly meal menus on our school’s home page, making it simple to plan ahead and keep track of what’s being served.

Meal Applications Matter

Filling out a school meals application isn’t just about ensuring your child gets nutritious meals—it also benefits the entire school community. For every student who applies and qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, the school receives over $1,000 in grant funding. These funds are used for crucial resources like student technology, after-school programs, counseling services, and kitchen equipment. Additionally, qualifying families may be eligible for free or discounted internet services and summer camp opportunities.

For more information, please contact the school office or visit the Child Nutrition Department’s website.

Please note to access this questionnaire you have to do so via the parentsquare app, as it retrieves your child's information.

Greetings Lynhaven Families,

We hope you are enjoying the reminder of your summer break! Lynhaven is busy preparing for your arrival.

We understand there are a lot off emotions as we enter a new school year, but please bare with us as information will be mailed out to your homes in the upcoming week.

For many families, you received this questionnaire at the end of last school year.  However, circumstances can change over the summer.

Please answer this short questionnaire. Your support helps us tremendously!

What?
Please fill out this questionnaire before August 21st.
Why?
This helps us prepare for next school year! The more accurate our enrollment the less changes and the less shuffling happens with students and staff placement.

Thank you for your support!
