Grinch

Grinch-Inspired Artwork: Spreading Holiday Cheer
In case you haven't noticed the Grinch has taken over the office! Our talented students have been busy creating their own unique versions of the Grinch, capturing his transformation from mischief-maker to holiday hero! These vibrant drawings showcase the Grinch's journey of redemption, reminding us that even the coldest hearts can be warmed by kindness, love, and community. The Grinch's story teaches us the true meaning of the holiday season– it's not about presents or decorations, but about coming together and sharing joy with others. We’re so proud of our students for bringing this message to life through their wonderful artwork!

School Traffic Safety: Protecting Our Kids and Neighbors
It’s crucial to prioritize traffic safety for our students and neighbors.
With busy mornings and afternoons, the roads around our school can become hectic. Let’s work together to ensure everyone stays safe!
Please remember to drive slowly and watch for children crossing the street. Use designated drop-off and pick-up zones, and encourage kids to use crosswalks.
We also ask parents and guardians to set a good example by practicing safe walking and biking habits. Together, we can create a safer environment for our children and foster positive relationships within our community.
Let’s keep our roads safe and our neighborhoods thriving!
Want to report unsafe driving or traffic violations on the city streets near school? Please report them to the City of San Jose at (408) 277-8900.
Want to request a speed monitor from the City of San Jose? Please contact them at (408) 535-3850.

This year, as part of our Continous Improvement efforts at the school level, teachers are asking students what is important to them in their classroom community. Students' voices are then captured as a classroom mission statement. Each mission statement is different because it reflects the classroom community that created it.

Classroom Mission Statements support Continous improvement by reminding us

Who are we? What do we value?

 and by defining

How will we work together?

What do we want to accomplish? What are our goals?

We will feature different mission statements throughout this school year.

These Classroom Mission Statements are from our Second Grade Classes.
