Boo Grams 2026-2027!

Annual Boo Gram Fundraiser!

Lynhaven Elementary PTA is excited to host our annual Boo Gram Fundraiser!

You may send as many boo grams as you want to ANYONE in the school, teachers and staff included. Each Boo Gram costs $1 (or $20 for your entire class) and will include Halloween treats in their Boo Bags.

Fill out the boogram form and turn them in to your students teacher, along with payment by cash or check, by Friday, October 16th 2026 .

Boogram forms will be sent out with your student.

Dr. Blake Brandes visits Lynhaven!

Dr. Blake Brandes

We are excited to have Dr. Blake Brandes join our students on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 for a fun and engaging Kindness & Digital Citizenship presentation. Dr. Brandes is a TEDx speaker, America’s Got Talent contestant, and Marshall Scholar who has spoken to more than 500,000 students around the world. During the presentation, our students will learn valuable skills to help them overcome challenges and achieve their dreams!

Dr. Blake has written beautifully illustrated children's books to accompany his powerful message, and he is offering autographed copies to our students!

Free Family-Friendly Summer Activities

Beaches & Nature

Visit Half Moon Bay State Beach for beach walks, sandcastles, and tide pools.
Explore Coyote Point Recreation Area (parking fees may apply, but walking access can be free in some areas).
Hike among redwoods at Big Basin Redwoods State Park (check current entrance policies).
Walk the trails at Rancho San Antonio Preserve.
Visit Alviso Marina County Park for wildlife viewing and sunsets.
Explore the salt ponds at Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

Free Museums & Cultural Sites

Visit Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum Grounds and enjoy the gardens (museum admission is separate).
Explore the outdoor exhibits at History Park.
Walk around Cantor Arts Center, which offers free admission.
Visit Anderson Collection at Stanford University, also free.

Explore Crissy Field and watch kite surfers.
Walk across part of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Visit Jack London Square to watch boats and trains.

Watch airplanes at Bayfront Park near the airport.
Visit the giant slides and playgrounds at Central Park.
Explore creek trails at Vasona Lake County Park (parking fees may apply).
Walk through the Japanese-inspired gardens at Municipal Rose Garden.

New for Summer 2026: Campbell Library Is Open Again!

Great news for local families: the newly renovated Campbell Library officially reopened in May 2026 after a multi-year renovation. The updated library includes a dedicated children's area, teen spaces, community rooms, comfortable reading areas, and a full schedule of free summer programs and events.

Free activities include:

Summer Reading Program
Storytimes for young children
Crafts and STEM activities
Author talks
Book clubs
Family events throughout the summer

The library is located at 77 Harrison Avenue and is once again serving the community from its permanent location.
