Please see the FAQ below for more details.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the Raptor Visitor Management System?
Raptor is a visitor management system that helps schools track who is on campus and enhances the safety of students and staff.
Why is the school implementing Raptor?
Student safety is our top priority. Raptor allows us to screen visitors, keep accurate records, and ensure that everyone on campus has checked in through the main office.
What should I expect when visiting the school?
All visitors will need to check in at the front office using a valid government-issued ID. A visitor badge will be printed and must be worn while on campus.
What types of IDs does Raptor accept?
Raptor accepts most government-issued photo IDs, including:
  • State-issued driver’s licenses
  • State ID cards
  • Passports or passport cards
  • Permanent Resident Cards (green cards)
  • Military IDs
  • Consular ID cards (such as a Mexican Consulate ID)
In general, if it is a valid government-issued ID with a photo, it will work with the system.
Will I need to bring my ID every time I visit?
Yes. You will need to present your ID each time you check in.
What information is collected, and is it safe?
Raptor scans your ID to verify your identity. The system only collects necessary information for school safety purposes and does not share it with outside organizations.
What if I do not have a government-issued ID?
Please contact the school office ahead of your visit. Staff will work with you to find an alternative way to check in.
How long does the check-in process take?
The process is quick and typically takes less than a minute once you arrive at the front office.
Do I need to check out when I leave?
Yes. All visitors must return to the front office to check out before leaving campus.
Will this apply to all visitors?
Yes. All visitors, including parents/guardians, volunteers, and contractors, must check in through the Raptor system.
How will visitor check-in work during large events like walk-a-thons or parades?
For large school events, we may use a modified check-in process to ensure safety while keeping lines moving efficiently. This may include pre-registration, additional check-in stations, or alternative methods such as name lists or event badges.
All visitors will still be expected to check in in some form and may be required to wear a badge or wristband while on campus. Volunteers who will be working closely with students may still be asked to complete a full check-in.
Additional details will always be shared with families before each event.
When will this start?
Raptor will be implemented districtwide soon. We will communicate specific start dates and any additional details.
Questions? Please comment below. All questions are private and only visible to the administration office and the commenter.

We understand that new procedures can feel different at first, and we appreciate your patience and support as we adjust together. These changes are in place to help us maintain a safe and secure environment for all students.

2026-2027 After School Care

Registration Information
Registration Website: campbellusd.arux.app
2026-2027 Interest Submission opens on March 16, 2026 on Arux.
The Expanded Learning Department's CampbellCare after-school enrollment process must be prioritized per state legislation - Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP).
The legislation requires that priority placement be given to students in grades TK-6 who meet one or more of the following criteria:
  • Homeless or Foster Youth
  • English Learner (currently receiving services)
  • Free or Reduced Lunch Status (application on file with the nutrition department)
The families of eligible students will be given the opportunity to enroll first, then, if capacity allows, enrollment will be opened up to all. If the number of interested applicants exceeds capacity, there will be a lottery. ELOP applications will be processed in priority of the day in which the completed application was received, rather than the previous minute by minute priority process.
We are aware of the need for high quality before and after school care for our families, and we are continuing our commitment to hire more staff. We appreciate the support you provide when you refer responsible friends and family members to job openings on our employment page
After-school registration for students who have been identified as ELOP eligible, will be open mid March.
Families will receive the registration link via Parent Square. Families who desire after-school care, who do not have ELOP eligible students, can begin submitting their interest mid March HERE. The 2026-2027 fee rates can be found in the resource section on the top of this page.

Updated Wed, Nov 26th

Dear Lynhaven Families,

As the days grow shorter, our school is buzzing with energy and incredible learning opportunities! November is a crucial month for building foundational skills, and we want to encourage you to continue to prioritize regular and on-time school attendance for your child.

Every day in the classroom counts. Consistent attendance ensures your child doesn't miss out on important lessons, collaborative activities, and the joyful connections that make learning stick.

Here is a glimpse of the exciting and enriching curriculum completed, in process, and planned for November:

TK: Building the Foundation 🧱

Our youngest learners in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) are fully immersed in foundational skill development:

TK is all about school readiness! We blend social-emotional learning with academic foundations.

  • SEL: Students are mastering self-regulation (sharing, taking turns, and managing emotions) and independence (self-help skills)

  • Fine Motor Skills: We focus on strengthening fine motor skills through hands-on activities.

  • Pre-literacy skills: Academically, students are building pre-literacy skills like alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, and vocabulary.

  • Number Sense:  Students are exploring math concepts like counting, geometry, and measurement to build core problem-solving abilities.

Kindergarten: Exploring Our World 🌎

Kindergarteners are becoming amazing writers and observers!

  • Writing & Vocabulary: We're engaging all five senses to describe the world around us.

  • Science: We'll explore the natural world, focusing on plants, animals, and people.

  • Math: Students are learning new ways to count by mastering counting by 2's and doubling!

  • Art: Our artists will create beautiful pastel fall pumpkin art.

  • SEL & Activity: We're focusing on gratitude, continuing to build skills in respectful listening and responsibility, and practicing friendships and boundaries. We have had a great transition to the big yard!

1st Grade: Building Literacy and Math Foundations ✍️

First graders are solidifying essential skills that support all future learning.

  • Writing: We are mastering the mechanics of writing, focusing on using complete sentences, proper letter formation, finger spaces, punctuation, and capitalization.

  • Math: We're developing strong number sense by exploring different strategies for adding and subtracting within the teen families.

  • Science & Art: Students will study the life cycles of pumpkins and learn about primary and secondary colors through Art Vistas. We will also explore the themes of The First Thanksgiving and use lines and color/shading to create fall pumpkins.

  • SEL: We are developing empathy and understanding how to be good friends.

2nd Grade: Developing Deep Comprehension and Fluency 🧠

Second graders are deepening their reading and problem-solving abilities.

  • Literacy: Students will write personal narratives, read about characters who face challenges, and practice reading fluency and note-taking for reading comprehension.

  • Science & Math: We'll be learning about different landforms. In Math, students are building addition/subtraction fact fluency using XtraMath.

  • SEL: We are focusing on cultivating gratitude.

3rd Grade: Research, Data, and Adaptation 📈

Third graders are becoming excellent researchers and scientists.

  • Writing & Math: We're concentrating on informational writing and understanding data through graphing.

  • Science: Students will learn about animal adaptations and observe the plant life cycle by growing plants in the classroom.

  • Math Fluency: A major focus is mastering multiplication fact fluency.

  • Art & SEL: Art Vistas lessons will explore portraits using warm and cool colors, and our SEL focus is on gratitude and cultural appreciation through Los Dichos.

4th Grade: California History and Advanced Math 🗺️

Fourth graders are launching into a fascinating study of our state.

  • Social Studies & Writing: We are starting Unit 1, focusing on the Regions of California, which will involve intensive informational writing.

  • Math: Students are diving into our double-digit multiplication unit and early division concepts.

  • SEL & Literacy: We are cultivating gratitude and reading and writing seasonal poems.

5th Grade: Exploring History and Decimals 📚

Fifth graders are engaging with complex literature and mathematical concepts.

  • Writing & Social Studies: Students are working on narrative writing and learning about Early Explorers in History-Social Studies.

  • Math: We are focusing on adding, subtracting, and rounding decimals.

  • Novel Study & Art: Students will engage with the powerful themes in our novel study: Esperanza Rising. Art Vistas will explore “American Artists.”

  • SEL & Literacy: We are working on Gratitude Writing and engaging with the ABC Reader/Los Dichos Reader.

By supporting excellent attendance, you are providing the foundation for their best possible learning experience.

We look forward to wrapping up this fantastic month of growth as we celebrate the great learning we have achieved throughout November!
