We are so proud of our Lynhaven students! They worked hard to put on a wonderful performance for us and they certainly did! Thank you to all the parents who supported them with long practices! Here are some pictures of the performance.

The flu virus and other respiratory “bugs” are most common during the fall and winter. Health professionals recommend several effective precautions to help slow the spread of germs that cause respiratory (nose, throat, and lungs) illnesses, like the flu.
- Get a flu vaccine each year.
- Avoid contact with people who are sick.
- Cover coughs and sneezes.
- Wash hands frequently.
- Get plenty of rest.
If your child does become ill, please report the absence by calling our attendance line at (408) 341-7000 ext. 4851. You can leave a message here.
If your child does not have healthcare insurance, please contact our Community Liaison, Noelia Smith at nsmith [at] campbellusd.org or (408) 556-0368 extension 4839 for information about no-cost or low-cost insurance program options.
Partnering with Foothill College and the Family Engagement Institute, some hard working parents were able to practice digital literacy over the last 8 weeks! They graduated today and it was a great celebration hosted by our Community Liaison, Noelia Smith! We are so proud of all of them! If you are intersted in attending this 8-week course, we will be offering another class in January.

Never give up...Encourage others...Do your best==NED! This is what you'll be hearing your students saying after our assembly next week! NED is an interactive assembly that tells students stories using puppets and live characters about perseverance and doing your best. We are happy to have them return to Lynhaven next week. This is a unique assembly in that we partner with the company to continue to have it be a FREE assembly! You may remember last year we were selling yo-yos and we did this so that the assembly will be of no cost to us. We are doing this again. Please click on the link below for more information.
Our school play, Winnie The Pooh, will take place on Thursday, 11/21 and Friday 11/22 at 7:00. More information on purchasing tickets can be found on the flyer located in Peach Jar (down below in the right hand corner) and on our marquee as soon as it's available! We hope you can make it!

Next Thursday, 10/31, we will have our Halloween Parade at 8:30-9:00 on the big playground. Students will walk with their classes around the playground. The parade is for Lynhaven students only and siblings and family members may not walk with them. After the parade, you can take pictures with your child's class but they will need to change out of their costumes when you are finished so they can be ready for recess at 10:00. Please make sure to send a change of clothes with your child. Costumes that are not school appropriate or do not follow the expectations will not be allowed at school:
-no weapons of any kind are allowed or costumes/masks that depict violence or blood.
-clown costumes/horror film characters are not allowed.
We hope to see you there!
Whether you're looking to make some extra cash (the holidays are approaching!) or you just want to volunteer to help support our students at lunchtime, we have a fun job for you! We are in need of an additional 2 Yard Duty supervisors for lunchtime, 11:30-1:00, Monday through Friday. We understand if you are not able to commit to 5 days a week, so we can be flexible. If you would prefer to be a volunteer, that would be great as well!
If you are interested in joining Mrs. Susan, Mrs. Martha, and Mrs. Janice (pictured) and would like to fill out an application, please stop by the office and pick on up. The rate of pay is $13.00 an hour. If you'd like to volunteer as Mr. Pena (pictured) did yesterday, just stop by the office and speak with either of our Admistrators. We truly appreciate all of our staff, especially our Yard Supervisors!
Next week will be a week full of fun spirit days where our students say no to drugs and other bad substances that hurt our bodies. We discuss how to have healthy bodies and why this is important to our futures. Students can participate by wearing the items listed above in the flyer!
